Russell County Community Partnership (RCCP) |

The Russell County Community Partnership, RCCP, focuses on developing a healthier and safer Russell County through education and awareness. The Partnership developed in 2001 and continues to meet
on the third Thursday of every other month at 5:30pm in the Russell Police Department. In 2003, RCCP received a Drug Free Communities Support Grant from the Federal Government to provide community education,
parent education, retailer education, after-school programming, youth anger management classes, and alternative activities in Russell County. RCCP is currently funded by a Strategic Prevention Framework.
State Incentive Grant that is provided by Addiction and Prevention Services of Kansas due to the high numbers of underage drinking within their county. The goals
for use of the SPF-SIG monies is to Build Capacity, Delay onset of substance use, reduce Substance abuse and related consequences and follow sustainable statewide framework for effective prevention. Drug Endangered Children Task Force |

The Russell County Drug Endangered Children Task Force is a task force of health professionals, law enforcement, juvenile services, and social services that work together to help children living in homes where methamphetamine use and production take place. The Task Force developed a protocol of response in 2003 that lays out the role of each agency in working with children that are found at methamphetamine labs. The protocol assists in the gathering of evidence that children were exposed to the dangers of methamphetamine production and use by their caretakers. The protocol designates responsibility of evidence collection, health assessment, and prosecution. The task force meets on a as need basis.
